This instrument is the INFICON UL3000 Fab ULTRA, a high-end helium leak detector. Its task is to check whether a product's "sealing" meets atomic-level leak-proof standards. This machine uses helium as a tracer gas. Because helium atoms are extremely small, have strong penetrating power, and are present in very low concentrations in the atmosphere, they are the best tool for finding tiny holes.

In semiconductor manufacturing, vacuum equipment production, and other high-tech industries, this machine is crucial for detecting:

Semiconductor processes: Ensuring that the reactor (chamber) is completely sealed; otherwise, oxygen ingress will cause wafer failure.

Vacuum component inspection: Checking valves, flanges, or welds for cracks invisible to the naked eye.

Airtight components: Ensuring that components such as lithium battery casings and electronic component seals will not leak during long-term use.
